It was a good day!
I decided to break my ramblings up into three different posts today.
Today on my day off I came down to Markle to work on the books a little, and hang out with my family. I miss my nieces like you would not believe. They are the only children I will ever have and I cannot stand not seeing them.
I picked up some steaks at the meat market in town and went over to Mark and Sandy’s with full intent of my brother, the grill king, making them his special way on the grill. And of course, when someone comes pounding on your door with free steak, you are smart to oblige them. And he was.
Sandy didn’t look too bad. She got some bad news this week, and things look a bit bleak, but we aren’t giving up yet. She actually had an appetite today and ate, so that perked her up a bit. We even sat outside after dinner and watched everyone play croquet. It was a nice evening.
I’ve been doing a lot of thinking about the future. I hate making plans like I have been, but it needs to be done….just in case. I won’t go into detail, as I don’t even know where to begin. Everything is all jumbled in my head right now. Just please, keep my sister in law in your happy thoughts and prayers.

Continued happy thoughts and prayers. It always helps when you have people to talk to and share. When I lost my dear friend, mentor, and music teacher last year, I had the much needed support of my two greatest friends ever. Free steak… hmmm… I would always oblige… how does your brother do ‘em?
Ya know, I think all he uses is Adolfs meat tenderizer. I’ve watched him a million times. I go home and try…I use all the same stuff!….and mine are nowhere NEAR as tender and good as his….I’m very jealous!!!
MMMMmmmmm, steaks…
Prayers for Sandy.
